ROMAN KVĚT RETURNS
TO ĎOLÍČEK
The 28-year-old midfielder returns to Bohemians after three and a half years. In the meantime, he worked in Pilsen, Turkey and Belgium. Now he is moving back to the Czech Republic from FCV Dender EH.
At a recent press conference, Bohemians management and sports department representatives announced that the Bohemians are intensively negotiating reinforcements in several positions. In recent hours, speculation has been appearing online about Roman Květ's return to Vršovice. And at this moment, we can happily confirm this information. "Květák" is back.
Klokany fans do not need to be reminded of the experienced midfielder's previous stint with Botič. He first came from Příbram on a six-month loan, which later turned into a permanent transfer thanks to an option. "I went to watch the match against Slavia and that cauldron, it's something incredible. I'm probably looking forward to that most of all," was Roman's reaction at the beginning of 2020, when he first came to Bohemians. And nothing has changed at all. With Bohemians, he also started their most successful season in the last decades. The 2022/2023 season, which culminated in a return to the European Cup. Although Roman Květ transferred to Viktoria Plzeň during the winter break, he had a big share in the success of the Green and Whites. In the thirteen matches he played in, he scored nine goals, including a hat-trick on the field against Slovácko.
At the beginning of 2023, he transferred to Plzeň, for which he played the spring part of the season. While Bohemians were planning a trip beyond the Arctic Circle in the summer of 2023, Roman Květ was considering a move to Turkey, where he went on a one-year loan to Sivasspor. After a year, he changed his address again, this time it was a loan to Dender in Belgium, where he transferred from Plzeň last summer.
Now he is back at Bohemians. He flew from Brussels to Prague yesterday afternoon and headed straight to Ďolíček. This morning he successfully passed a medical examination, after which he signed all the necessary documents and immediately joined the training with the Kangaroos.
He also sent his first greeting to the fans from Ďolíček: "Hello Kangaroos, I'm back. Let's go train, let's go work. Let's get Bohemka back into the cups, like when I left here."
He will wear the number 16 on the Kangaroo jersey, the contract is three years until June 2029.
Roman, welcome home!
