PETER KAREEM SIGNS
UNTIL 2029
The 22-year-old defender from Nigeria signed a new contract at a training camp in Poland. The current contract was due to expire at the end of the 2027/2028 season.
Peter Kareem joined Ďolíček from second-league Vlašim in November 2024. During the spring part of the 2024/2025 season, he played in six matches.
Last season, coach Veselý relied on his services much more. He managed 28 of the 32 first-league matches. At the beginning of the season, he played more as a substitute, but from the 12th round he practically settled into the Kangaroos' starting lineup. He only left the field before the final whistle on two occasions and came on from the bench once. In the 2026 calendar year, he missed only three league matches, playing the full 90 minutes in the remaining ten.
His performances have earned him an improved offer, even though his current contract was valid for two more seasons, which is confirmed by the club's director Darek Jakubowicz: "We have seen some interest in Peter recently, although no concrete offer is on the table. His performances during his time at Bohemians have convinced us to improve his current contract. This also includes extending it for one more season."
The new contract is now signed until June 30, 2029.
