CLUB TO ENTER A 'C' TEAM OF SUPPPRTERS INTO THE LEAGUE SYSTEM

In a move that reflects the club's long-standing connection with its fanbase, Bohemians Praha 1905 have confirmed plans to create a new Bohemians ‘C’ team made up entirely of supporters.

The side is expected to enter the Czech football pyramid in the ninth tier, giving fans the opportunity to wear the famous green and white shirt not only from the terraces of Ďolíček, but now on the pitch itself. Reports surrounding the project state that players will be recruited directly from the club's own supporter base through a selection process.

Club officials have described the initiative as more than simply a football project. From the club's perspective, the creation of Bohemians ‘C’ is intended as a celebration of the supporters who helped preserve the identity of Bohemians during some of the most difficult moments in its modern history. During the financial crisis and bankruptcy period in the mid-2000s, supporters played a major role in helping keep the club alive, both financially and culturally.

"The goal of this unique project won't be to advance as high as possible, but to offer Bohemians fans the joy of football and the pride of wearing the kangaroo on their chest," a club statement read.

"Bohemians have always belonged to its people," the feeling around the club suggests. Rather than focusing purely on results, the aim of the new side is to strengthen the connection between the club and the community that has stood behind it for generations.

"Thanks to the fans, Bohemians continues to play football. Now it's time for Bohemians to enable the same for its fans," the club said.

The announcement has already generated significant attention across European football and social media, with many supporters praising the idea as a rare example of a professional club embracing grassroots football culture in a direct and meaningful way.

For a club whose identity has long been built around supporter involvement, independent spirit and community values, the launch of Bohemians C feels like a natural extension of the Bohemians story. The terraces of Ďolíček have always been at the heart of the club - now, some of those same voices may soon be heard from the pitch itself.
