BUILDING PERMIT ISSUED - WORK STARTS
The Construction Department of the Prague 10 Municipal District Office has issued a valid building permit for the south stand today. Work on the deep foundation piles is set to begin as early as tomorrow morning.
Long months of administrative preparation and impatient waiting by all Bohemians supporters have come to an end. On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, we received the authorization to commence construction via our official electronic data mailbox. Now, nothing stands in the way of starting the first phase of the Ďolíček reconstruction—the south stand, located near Vršovická Street.
"It has been a long and demanding period, but it has led us to our long-awaited goal. In the coming weeks, fans will be able to watch the new stand—near the tram line—take shape," Darek Jakubowicz, Director of Bohemians, told the club's website.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
By Tuesday morning, a drilling rig and other essential components for the foundation work had already arrived at Ďolíček. Throughout the day, workers will prepare the site, and the actual piling process will begin on the morning of Wednesday, October 21. There are two possible scenarios for the installation of the piles. "If the piling work goes smoothly, the drilling could be finished by early November. It will then take about another ten days to install the reinforcement cages and allow the concrete to cure. After that, the steelworkers will begin their part of the job," explained Jakubowicz.
The club director also outlined a second scenario: "If things don't go entirely smoothly, we expect the completion of the piling to be delayed by two weeks. In that case, drilling would wrap up in mid-November. The subsequent steps remain the same."
In either scenario, the assembly of the prefabricated concrete structures is set to begin approximately three weeks later. The first concrete blocks will be placed on the western side of the site, near the main grandstand. The construction of the entire southern stand will then progress toward the intersection of Sportovní and Vršovická streets.
The steel structures and concrete elements have already been fully manufactured, treated with the necessary protective coatings, and are ready for transport to the site—a fact that will significantly speed up the entire process.
"We plan to continue construction almost until Christmas this year. Work will pause over the holidays, but it will resume in full swing during the first week of the new year," concludes Darek Jakubowicz. Bohemians fans can also take an active part in the renovation of Ďolíček, thanks to the Klokani sobě crowdfunding campaign. You can find more information HERE.
