FRÜHWALD: WE SHOWED HEART
You made a few difficult saves…
If I had to pick one, it would probably be that last shot by Šubert following a corner kick. I couldn't see much in that situation, but I was lucky enough to parry the ball away to the side. We managed to get through that moment without conceding.
Another clean sheet. Do you keep track of your stats?
Naturally, I’m pleased with the clean sheet. It’s a testament to the whole team—to our defensive work and our compactness. Sometimes the guys help me out in front of the goal, and other times I help them. That’s what it’s all about. The important thing is that we keep performing well together, avoid conceding, and pick up points.
After two home games, we now have two away matches in a row…
It will definitely be different. We’ve been doing well at home, and that’s no coincidence. Our fans drive us forward—they’re our twelfth man. I hope we can keep our unbeaten run at home going for as long as possible. We have a tough away game this weekend, but we want to build on these last two wins. I’m sure we’ll be well-prepared for Saturday to put in a strong performance.
Tomáš Frühwald once again guarded the net for the "Klokani" (Kangaroos). After the team took the lead, he played a key role in securing the points by neutralizing several chances from Mladá Boleslav. In an interview, he discussed these saves, praised the fighting spirit of the entire squad, and described the team's preparation for the opponent.
For the second time in a row, you’ve won by the narrowest of margins. How was today’s match different?
This match was significantly tougher for us. We started off with a beautiful free-kick goal, but then we dropped back and played in a deep defensive block. Our opponent demonstrated their quality; they are strong on the ball and play a very combination-based game. Through sheer intensity, that classic "Bohemians heart," and a willingness to fight for one another, we managed to snatch the victory. These are three very important points.
Was the win primarily down to your team spirit?
Essentially, yes. We managed to punish a mistake they made while building up play. It led to a foul, and then we scored from the resulting set-piece. That’s just how some matches go. We put in the hard work, played for each other, and now we can celebrate the win.
What was the preparation like for Mladá Boleslav?
We actually prepared for them twice, since the original match date was postponed. So, we just went over a few things again on video. We had to switch gears quickly, as we had already played on Saturday. We prepared well, though—we knew exactly what to expect from our opponent. He certainly proved his quality. I think we were solid defensively and handled things well.
