Bohemians made the brighter start despite missing injured duo David Lischka and Václav Pilař, and they were rewarded with an early breakthrough. In the ninth minute, Matoušek helped launch the attack before Javorček's dangerous cross was only partially cleared. Květ's follow-up shot was blocked on the goal line by Kolář, but Petr Mirvald reacted quickest to fire the rebound into the net, registering his first league goal on his sixth appearance.
The visitors continued to look the more threatening side. Sakala tested Zlín with a header, although goalkeeper Dostál dealt with it comfortably. Bohemians came close to doubling their advantage before the interval. Květ released Matoušek behind the home defence with a superb through ball, but the forward could not find the target when presented with a one-on-one opportunity. Zlín therefore went into the break only one goal behind, despite Bohemians having enjoyed the greater attacking threat.
Second Half: Čermák Seals Victory
Zlín emerged with greater urgency after the interval, helped by the introduction of Hellebrand and Bartošák. The home side applied more pressure and threatened mainly from set pieces, but Bohemians remained well organised and largely prevented Zlín from turning its possession into clear scoring opportunities.
The decisive moment came in the 70th minute. Substitute Aleš Čermák burst into the Zlín penalty area and was brought down after Kopečný stepped on his ankle. The referee initially allowed play to continue, but following a VAR review and a visit to the monitor, a penalty was awarded. Čermák took responsibility himself and calmly sent the ball into the corner to make it 2-0.
Zlín pushed forward in search of a way back into the game, but the hosts could not turn their late pressure into a meaningful shot on target. Šmiga saw his effort blocked while Hellebrand fired high over the bar. Javorček went close to adding a third for Bohemians on the counter-attack, but his effort found the side netting.
The final whistle confirmed a 2-0 victory for Bohemians, who collected their first three points of the campaign and recorded a second consecutive clean sheet. Zlín, meanwhile, remained without a point after three matches and had still failed to score in either of their home games this season. Despite registering 16 shots, none of them were on target - a telling reflection of their lack of cutting edge.
For me, it's the best gift. I told the boys that morning that the only gift that would make me happy is a victory. In the first half, we controlled the game, outplayed the home team, scored a goal and had other chances. After the break, Zlín came into the game better, probably having the best passage in the first twenty minutes. They had set pieces and corner kicks around our penalty area. The substitutes helped us, stopped the pressure and revived the game. After the second goal, the home team lost faith, were nervous and we controlled the game. We lost a match here once in a similar situation. Zlín wanted to shoot us down from the air, they had a lot of tall players in the lineup, but the boys managed to do it. We managed to build on the performance from the match against Hradec and we even got into the points lead.

We entered the match nervously. From the first minutes, we let our opponents know that we were worried. This resulted in inaccurate passes, unnecessary losses, and lost duels. The opponent knew that he could take something from there. After the unnecessary goal, the nervousness multiplied even more. There were an awful lot of balls thrown away. We had little energy, the performance was bloodless. Nobody took on the weight of the moment. When we got a chance, we missed the goal, another time the first player blocked the shot. The match did not suit us, Bohemka deservedly won. Our expectations were high, we wanted to break it and win. Reality put us in a completely different situation. We cannot wrap it up, but keep working.
